Olanrewaju O. Okusanya, Pharm.D, MS, BCPS, is the Deputy Division Director for the Division of Cancer Pharmacology I in the Office of Clinical Pharmacology at the U.S Food and Drug Administration. Dr. Okusanya received his Pharm.D. from Texas Southern University, Houston, TX and a Masters degree in Pharmacometrics at SUNY Buffalo. He also completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a Pfizer/University of Buffalo Drug Development Fellowship. He has years of experience leveraging pre-clinical and early Phase data for dose selection and optimizing dosing regimens for patients as well as providing translational and investigational PKPD guidance for the development of novel therapeutics. Upon joining the FDA, he has reviewed multiple applications developing anti-cancer therapies as well as drugs to treat malignant and non-malignant hematology diseases. He has worked extensively with hematology products (malignant and non-malignant) including biosimilars, dealing with regulatory issues that arise with small molecules and biologics from a clinical pharmacology perspective.
