Dwaipayan Mukherjee, Ph.D., Associate Principal Pharmacokinetcist, AbbVie, Inc.
Dwaipayan is a pharmacokinetic scientist and modeler working in the clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics (CPPM) group at AbbVie. Dwaipayan received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Rutgers University, New Jersey, followed by a post-doctoral tenure at the Rutgers Medical School.
At AbbVie, Dwaipayan has led physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling analyses for a number of late stage compounds pertaining to drug-drug interaction, special populations, drug transporters and formulation bridging, including interactions with regulatory agencies. Dwaipayan also works at the interface of biopharmaceutics and drug absorption at AbbVie and provides mechanistic modeling insights into various issues related to drug dissolution, absorption, IVIVC and biowaiver. He is also specialized in quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) modeling of various diseases with major focus on hematological malignancies such as CLL and AML, including the impact of combination drug regimens on disease modification.
