Yulan Qi

Yulan Qi, PhD, is Senior Director of Clinical Pharmacology at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Yulan received her BS in Chemistry from Fudan University in China and PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, where she studied the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of nanoformulations of an anticancer drug in animal models. Following her PhD, Yulan worked at BioMarin and Ultragenyx focused primarily on rare diseases. Yulan has published and presented work in the fields of nonclinical to clinical translational research, quantitative clinical pharmacology, pediatric dose selection and model informed dose regimen optimization for biologics and small molecules.
